Rock Band 3
0The Mad Catz of the 1990′s is an infinitesimally small shadow of the pillar of seriousness and quality of the Mad Catz of today. Mad Catz catapulted to the top of the peripheral mountain, after the release and subsequent critical lauding over the Street Fighter IV arcade sticks. Not content on living on short term online generic cialis success, they manufactured more top-tier products and have been on a warpath levaquin ever since. The total rebranding in the hearts and minds of gamers have even secured them one of the holy grails of peripheral support, Rock Band 3.
Mad Catz was more than happy to show off their stunning new Rock Band equipment. I got to see the pro instruments that will actually teach gamers the basics of playing an instrument. The Pro Fender Mustang is like any other regular guitar hero controller, only with about a hundred extra buttons. Essentially, the guitar simulates a real guitar without the need to string it or grow calluses. There are strings where the strum bar used to be but they aren’t prone to breaking. Mad Catz did tests to determine that it would take years of 24/7 playing to break the strings. The reason being is there are little grips that clamp the strings in place and those will open before enough pressure is applied to the strings so they snap. The guitar comes with a MIDI out port that allows for this to be buy without prescription Amoxil online cheap plugged into any compatible device to shred some electronic notes. In fact, it is the same for the keyboard too.
Limewire Closing Shop
0LimeWire is in a lot of hot water. A month ago, a U.S. judge, Kimba Wood, found that LimeWire LLC was guilty of illegally copying digital recordings, putting forth that LimeWire founder Mark Gorton personally “directed and benefited from many of the activities” that resulted in the charges. Thirteen major record companies (represented by the RIAA – Recording Industry Association of America) now want the company’s assets seized as they face copyright infringement fines that could be close to $1 billion.
“It is patently obvious that the rampant illegal conduct that LimeWire intentionally induced, and for which it has been adjudged liable, will continue uninterrupted day after day unless and until the Court issues an injunction to rein in this massive infringing operation,” the RIAA stated in their request, which was reprinted in an article on CNN.com. “In the weeks since this Court’s Order, what has LimeWire done to try to halt or limit the infringement it has induced? The answer, from all appearances, is nothing.”

New York Times Bans the Word “Tweet”
0In a letter sent out to all the writers at the New York Times Wednesday, the editor explained they should not be using the word, “tweet”. Using the word, “tweet” is “inherently silly” he said, but you can bet that social media fans are going to strongly disagree with that statement. Although “tweet” has not made its mark on the English dictionary, many people are getting used to the word and what it is associated with.Editor, Phil Corbett, says “Except for special effect, we try to avoid colloquialisms, neologisms and jargon. And ‘tweet’ — as a noun or a verb, referring to messages on Twitter — is all three.” He has a good point, or two, but all this is going to do is create the word to be added to the English language. Once that is done, is he still going to have the same opinion? My guess is, yes. What is the reason Phil has put his foot down, so to speak? Well, last month one article in the Times had the word “tweet” mentioned 18 times and that was it. I guess that showed the writer wasn’t able enough to find another way to describe what “tweet” is, without using the actual word. We’ll see what happens when the word is added to the dictionary, I am sure it won’t be long now.
